The Mathematics and ICT Department is poised to nurture student-teachers into critical thinkers and problem solvers in their future endeavors. Throughout the four years of training, state-of-the-art teaching and learning resources are employed in mathematics and ICT lesson delivery. This has reflected positively in the number of student-teachers who now attain higher grades in their mathematics courses than before. The love for mathematics and ICT has also improved among the student-teachers with lady students-teachers embracing and confidently solving problems through the application of ICT and mathematics concepts.

The department existed since the beginning of the College. Tutors of the Mathematics and ICT Department are hardworking, determined very student-centered. They continue to passionately demonstrate their mastery of the subjects they teach individually to the understanding of the students-teachers in training. Relentlessly, the department has been consistent in working hard to meet the aspirations of the College.

With good staff strength, the department has produced quality Mathematics and ICT teachers who are impacting lives through addressing problems associated with the teaching and learning of mathematics and ICT in various basics schools across the country. The department hopes to mount a Bachelor of Mathematics with specializations in the coming years.

Head of Department

JESUS IS LORD: I am a professional graduate teacher with over ten (10) years experience of teaching Mathematics at various educational levels.
I hold B.Ed Mathematics Education, M.Ed Mathematics Education, and Mphil awaiting award from the University of Education, Winneba, and University of Cape Coast respectively

Currently, I am the head of Mathematics and ICT department at Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, Amedzofe. Besides, I am a Reverend Minister for word and sacrament, in Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana.

I am a leader who aspires to achieve my dreams and impact society for the welfare of humanity. Ethically, I am compliant and also adaptable to change and I have a strong drive for continuous learning.
